Self employed; Visitor visa for retired parents

Post by NROW » Mon Mar 27, 2017 8:27 am

Hi,

I am on ILR living with my family in UK and Self employed for last 6 months. My parents are retired and planning to visit us in UK from India for 2months. They can sponsor themselves for the entire trip and I am going to provide accommodation only.

1. Both are pensioners. So they are planning to show pension documents and bank statements showing pension credit as the evidence for income. Is this sufficient.

2. Property owned : Is it sufficient to show patta document or land registration document. Please clarify.

3. They have 2 other sons living in India with them. Is it ok to provide ration card/ passport copy or originals?

4. As I mentioned earlier, my parents are sponsoring themselves and I am just providing accommodation. Is it still mandatory for me to show evidence of bank statements etc. If yes, what are the evidence that need to be provided for a self employed.

Please help.

Thanks,
Row

They should also show their strong ties/intentions to return to India.

Both my in-laws can show the property documents in each of their name; also a covering letter detailing about the 2 other sons(with evidence like passport) and relatives living in India; What else needed to show the strong ties in India.
