Spouse Visa Pakistan-English Test

Post by tichky » Mon Apr 03, 2017 11:42 am

I will be applying for a Spouse visa for my husband from Pakistan in July.

Can someone please just post for me how we go about booking the English test? I've read and tried to research but I am just finding it a bit confusing to be honest.

I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

They are in Kharian, Gujrat area.

Also do you know what the exam will entail? Imp finding all the information I've looked at so confusing lol. It is speaking only? or will there be a written exam also?

Thank you so much for your help.

I hope this information will help. UK GOV site

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... entres.pdf

He can book to the following testing centre
Islamabad / Lahore / Karachi = British council
Islamabad / Lahore / Karachi = AOE

British council and AOE both accept online registration. There's number of seats available. The A1/B1 test schedule is every 2 weeks or twice a month. Go to BC or AOE website and book online.

Let me know if you've any questions.

Thanks,
Syed

Thank you for this information.

May I ask what is the difference between A1/B1 and how do I know what we need to book?

Thank you.

A1 level required for the initial spouse visa application
A2 level for the first 2.5 year FLR(M) extension
B1 level + Life in the UK for ILR at the end of the 5 year period

It depends whether your qualification is on the UKVI list of approved tests/test providers.
