does MN1 and AN1 form referee need know us 3 yrs?

Post by mmymm » Sun Apr 02, 2017 11:39 pm

hi guys,

heard before that referee needs to know the applicants at least 3 yrs. however i could not find that statement in guide or any formal document?

does this requirements have been waived? the reason i am asking is i have a 4 yrs old child and have been in current nursery only 1.5 yrs. so it is very difficult for us to find a one know her more than 3 yrs and also be professional engaged with her....

thank you!

Have you read AN Form and Guidance?
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... en-form-an

Page 19 of form: " they have known the applicant personally for more than 3 years;"

Can't comment on MN1.

cannot find the 3 yrs requirement for MN1?

this is i copied from note.

One referee should be a professional who has engaged with the child in a professional capacity, such as a teacher, health visitor, social worker or minister of religion. The other referee must normally be the holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or over the age of 25.
Each referee should know the child personally and must not be:
 related to the child
 related to the other referee
 acting as a solicitor or agent in connection with this application
 employed by the Home Office
We will not accept a referee who has been convicted of an imprisonable offence during the last 10 years unless that conviction can be disregarded in line with the table shown in the “Good character” section of this Guide.
