Congrats.. :) to ce98118 and Achtung

jason, arsenalsri, skd, lnchowdary, kmsr, hsmp_1476, and HSMPinit:

Thanks for your valuable advise and concern.

After analyzing, the reasons found are: (submitted income proof for the period Aug 2006 to July 2007)

1. Working for a startup company from march 2004 but having bank salaried account from jan 2007
2. I have given pay-slips as printed and signed by HR at once. (All pay-slips are signed on same date before one week to apply for HSMP)
3. Qualification
4. My Company paid IT (which was deducted from my monthly salary) to IT Dept in end of the year, march 2007
5. ECO doubted my Tax Returns as it is a self assessment submitted to IT Dept. (I think he forgot to verify my Form-16 :? )

I think based on the above and may be my HR's insufficient explanation, the ECO may be doubted about my employment.

Today, I contacted Chennai BHC and they informed me that I can apply again.

----
Thank you for your email.
The procedure to re-apply is the same what you went through the last time you applied. Please be advised that you must address the concerns outlined by the Visa Officer in your new application with relevant explanation and supporting documents.

----------

Now, I am planning to re-apply with explanation letter of my company CEO. I will address all the concerns of ECO this time and hope it may works well.

One more thing I would like to mention here that I am one of the genuine MICROSOFT CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPER (MCPD) & MCTS and the same was submitted along with my EC Application.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Once again, thanks to every one of this forum for giving support

Hey Guys,

I will be leaving on March 9th to UK via the Jet Airways 1.30 Flight :D . Hope to find a Project Manager position soon. :?

ce98118,
I am a certified Prince 2 Practitioner, But as i got the results after applying for the HSMP, i was not able to submit anything for that... and you know what, more than 60% of my batch failed as the rules for Prince2 exam have changed and it is a tough exam to pass now (God knows how i did myself!)

Ram,
I took all the payslip printouts on the same day, and i did not even get them signed or stamped by my HR... so i dont know if that can be a reason for your rejection... moreover your certifications are really impressive and i still do not understand why they rejected it...

Kumar.

Vidya,

You need not enter UK within 28 days of getting EC..I guess you are concerned about ILR (so that you can apply for only FLR)...It seems that Citizen rules are going to change and it might be 5+2 soon..Infact the decision might come today on that!!!!

So bottom line is dont think of too distant future as the goal post keep on moving

Hi ram

sorry to hear about your ec result - but it is very good that you are applying again now. Contact BHC and ask them for xerox copy of your approval letter - then consider applying through consultant like winmano - i guess the tension is less on us when using consultant

Vidya,
ILR and Citizenship are different things..You get ILR after 5 years (It was 4 years earlier)..After spending 1 year on ILR you can apply for British Citizenship(BC),provided you clear "Life in Uk "test and some other financial requirements...(But might change from today ,it seems after ILR ,you might have to spend 1+X years for BC ..X is variable). It will be clear in due course..
Well, you dont need to worry abt. this for the time being as it is too distant in future and i have been saying that ILR will be changed to 7 years (instead of 5 years) in next few years...

Hope this helps
Ashish..

P.S As pet latest news, there wont be such a thing called ILR any more..Now it will be called Probationary citizenship ,and after 1-5 years of PC you must apply for BC...

Rules for getting HSMP extension and ILR

Post by nallan17 » Thu Feb 21, 2008 7:00 am

Guys ..Lets share a clear thought on this point:

See if we get EC in march, we can leave to UK in October( after 8 months).

For getting FLR: There is point based system which evalueates our points based on age, income, qualification. If we get those points - it is sufficient to get FLR. There is no rule stating how many months u shud stay in UK to get FLR ( If any thing pls let me know).

And regarding ILR - Is there any Rule stating how many years we have to live in UK ?

Damm**..Some where on this thread i had mentioned that dont think about FLR etc as rules might change in future..It seems that it has come tooo soon..As per new rules it seems you might have to apply for 2/3 times FLR till u get ILR (probationary citizenship) and then X no. of years for British citizenshhip...BUT i am sure that by the time i spend 5 years ,rules would have changed again..
After i have come to UK, ILR rules have been changed twice (4 years to 5 years and now this),HSMP rules have changed twice as well...

Bottom line is, dont worry abt. entering with in 28 days after EC to get ILR etc..WHo know what the rules will be in 2012??

Ashish--pondering...

Ashish
