Urgent: VFS Hyderabad Appointments Issue

Post by t1s2010 » Tue Mar 14, 2017 12:00 pm

I am trying to get appointment for standard visitor visa at VFS Hyderabad.

Unlike other VFS (showing appointments available for 3-4 weeks), VFS hyderabad was showing appointments only till this Friday - as of yesterday.

As of today - VFS Hyderabad is not showing any appointments at all for any date.

Is anyone aware of VFS Hyderabad appointment issues? or how to best approach/find out?

VFS-global email is not helpful at all (you email using online-webpage now a days).

Hi,

How did you get on with your appointment please? We have the same issue for Bangalore vfs. there is a walk in facility but not sure if you can walk in without submitting the application online. The online portal doesn't let you submit the application without booking an appointment!

I didn't get normal appointment so went with priority service (to avoid travel hassles for parents) costed £150 extra for each applicant. Good bit was passport came back in 3rd day (in 48ish hours) from submission day.

Two appointments had two different times on it (12ish & 14ish) as this is what VFS offered.
WHAT it meant was VFS charged 2500-3000INR more as it was a "combined application but two different timeslots were taken" (Only VFS knows what it really means but didn't ask parents much on this timeslot thingy).

Frankly, it seems just way of fleecing money by VFS in India unlike UK/EU etc.
