All those applied for EC in January 2008

Hi, its been one and half months since I applied for the ec, and supposedly bhc got my integra report in 15 days.. but since they have been dilly dallying on my EC. Whenever I call up, the lady who picks up says I dont know how long it will take please call after a week or so. Today when I her called up and told her that I needed to know how long it would take and told her there was already a long delay, she asked me to wait for a minute. She came back and said I asked the Visa Officer, he said it would take time. When I asked her how long, she replied saying please call us next week Wednesday and even then I cannot guarantee anything and just washed her hands off saying she didnt have any further information. The suprising thing was when I gave my passport no. she remembered my name and said didnt u call on Friday? Has that happened to any of you, the person remembering your name??? Found it really odd..
Dont know if I am the only one getting such vague replies from BHC or any of you facing such replies and delays too? Dont know what on earth they are doing with my passport and application for so long?!! Ppl who have applied after me seem to have got their visas stamped...

Hi,

They keep a record of it when you have called lastime and what question you have asked.

Better you sent the mail to them and ask them dont sent mail to vfs

sent mail to BHC with your given details.

Looks like i have been granted EC on my HSMP application.

The following was the response i received for email i sent today.

Thank you for your e-mail.

Please be informed that you have been granted the necessary entry clearance. The passport will be despatched later today. Please contact VFS Global our commercial partner regarding details of retrieval of passport.

My Times lines are as follows

Application Date: 9th Jan 08
VFS Bangalore
Integra: Done, but don't know when.
Final S taus: EC granted, Yet to receive passport
Status on VFS website still shows application forwarded to BHC.

I have a good news to share with you guys..
I have sent a mail in the morning to BHC and this is the reply I got from them..
Dear Sir

You have been issued a visa. If you have opted for the courier service the passport will be despatched to your address by VFS Chennai today, else please visit VFS in the region you applied for counter delivery tomorrow.

Finally....I got my EC. Had sent a mail to BHC this morning and got a reply saying that i have been given the necessary EC. My status has also change in vfs site.

This group has given me all the support and encouragement to wait for 1.5 months and helped me with all the info that i needed. A great place to be in.

Most of the times...yes..but again depends on what time you send...early in the morning would be ideal...

i have a question...my hsmp approval letter has been granted on 30th august...its given that the validity is 6 months..the approval letter wil get expired on feb 29th. do i have to travel before feb end...how does it work

Now that you have your EC, date on approval letter doesnt matter

akira, as far as my understanding goes, you can enter UK before your EC expires. HSMP validity matters only for applying for EC.

My hubby got his visa stamping today!

Timelines:
Applied at BLR: 25th Jan
Integra check done : 10th feb
status changed on website : 19th feb
Got ppt : 20th feb

Called BHC today got the reply as decision made but no idea what would be - was asked to call to VFS by evening

Fingers crossed butmany of u were able to get the decision by phone itseldf.. why is htat i am unable to getit

Hi, I called up BHC today morning, the lady who picked up said that they had sent my passport yesterday itself, I asked her if I had been granted the visa, she asked I cant tell you anything, you have to wait till you get your passport. Dont know why she didnt tell me, many others have gotten to know by phone itself.. Praying that it will be positive.
After phoning BHC, I checked the VFS site, it reflected what she had said that the passport had been dispatched yday via Blue Dart. I then called up BD and they asked for my passport number and said that I would get it b/w 12-4...
Will update as soon as I get my passport..

All those who are rejected ... i'm really worried.

I have applied EC on 8th of Feb.
Since i work for a big company i'm not sure about my integra.
I want confirm one thing on my assets i have shown.
I have shown 2 lakhs gift deposited by my dad ,50 thousand in my salary account,90 thousand provident fund and 35 thosuand shares.
Total Rs 3,75,000/-

The problem is with the gifted money :
There were lots of transaction happened in my dads account during last 15 days to fill the 2 lacs amount.
Will this create problem. i'm really worried of this.
I dont have a job offer. i have provided job search details.
Gurus Please respond.

Docs provided for assets:

My bank statements
Sponsers bank statement
Sponsers covering letter
Gift deed
Pf Statement.
shares certificate
prinout of net worth of my shares.
In addition i have submitted LIC of Rs: 1,50,000.

You are also showing a Sponsorer right ? then it should not be a problem with how much money you have in your account.
