Applying in Feb 08

Post by rajeshash » Tue Feb 19, 2008 8:50 am

Hi,

I am applying for my HSMP this month, I have few queries would be gratefull if those can be addressed in this forum.

In terms of my past earnings , I had not recieved IT returns documents for the Period April 06 to March 2007. I only have the FORM 16 for this period.

From the Period April 07 to March 08 I will be issued the FORM 16 this year by around April 08.

I am showing the period of my Past earning from Jan 07 to Feb 08, out of which Jan 07 till August 07 ( I have earned INDIAN SALARY) and from Sept 07 till Feb 08 ( UK SALARY).

In view of the above I am obtained the SALARY SLIPS ( DULY ATTESTED ) and Bank statements covering all the above period will this solve the purpose, only i am missing is the Income Tax Returm for the period of Jan 07 till March 07.

WILL IT SOLVE MY PURPOSE in terms of my credentials for PAST EARNINGS or do i need to provide any addtional details.

Regards,

Rajesh

Hi everyone,

Application sent: 1 Feb08 via registered post
Amount debited: 11 Feb08
Ref number: Not yet received....

It's been a while now and still have not received an email nor mail from them regarding ref number. The Home Office contact number is closed due to resourcing issues from their end...and their email is only an automated response as well. Not sure how to get through to them. Do let me know if you have any thoughts.

Thanks

Rajesh,

I was in a similar situation but the only change is my first half of the salary was in UK and the second half in India. You can apply with the attested salary slips. Also check whether your salary statements reflect the company's name when they credit the salary into ur account. If not, you may have to get a letter from your employer confirming that they credited the salary.

Coming to your IT returns, You can still go and submit your form 16 and IT deprtment will give you an acknowledgement ITR-1 copy which is enough to prove your IT returns. This is hardly half day's work if in India. If you are not in India, then you can send the duly filled ITR-1 form & form 16 to somebody back home and get the work done, but will be time consuming!!

Cheers,
SH

processing time

Post by satheeshkumar » Thu Feb 21, 2008 9:14 am

Hi guys
I have sent my application on 15th Feb, and it has reached the destination by 18th...

I have sent payment by Cheque (HSBC,UK - i was in UK couple of years back, and have an active account with some funds, and so paid by cheque) but still find that the payment has not been debited from my account... So bit surprised & worried.

Can anyone please let me know whether processing for cheque payment takes more time?

Hi Nalfa,

We seem to be in the same boat...

Sent application via German post: 11 February
Application received by HSMP office: 15 February (so says the German post)

So far, no reference number (I even called them today)... I checked my credit card and still no payment deducted. Did you check yours?

I wonder why it's taking them so long to process my payment. As far as I could see here in the forum, most people that pay with credit card are deducted on the same day their applications are delivered...

They sent my application back (I received it yesterday) because of an error in the payment. I checked the information I have provided in the payment slip (I kept of copy of everything I sent), and couldn't spot an error in the credit card details. I called my credit card yesterday, and there is nothing that could have caused the failed transaction, and I have sufficient credit. Moreover, there is no declined transaction registered in the last few weeks, so it was probably their mistake when manually providing the credit card details...

I am sending the whole thing once again, and hope it will work this time...

Hi,

I have sent all documents on 6th Feb and still my account has not been debited. I had given my Credit card details. I think there might be any issue with my payment details.. If that is the case, can anyone suggest me what I should do going forward. Will they post back all teh documents to me.If so how long it would happen. Please reply and state any case you have come over.

Thanks
Mohit

Home Office Phone Number

Post by vc_hsmp » Sun Feb 24, 2008 11:43 am

Hi there,

What number is everyone using to contact Home Office? I have used the usual HO number and they mentioned that they are not taking any calls due to resource issues. Their website also stated the same notice.
