Here is my timeline

Posted Application: 25th Jan 05
Recieived by HO: 26th Jan 05
CC Charged: 26th Jan 05
HO wrote approval: 28th Jan 05 (after 2 days)
HO mailed Letter: 31st Jan 05
Received Letter: 5th Feb 05


Total time taken from sending mail and receving mail = 10 days

Applied from Saudi Arabia and did not provide 100% docs.

:o i dont know what formula they are using, it does look like Random selection anymore they seem to have forgotten about June-November 2004' applicants

BUT, :shock: how can HO be so rediculos in managing applications.

- no job offer attached
- i claimed points for wife's education, but could not provide proof of living together other than marriage certificate
- i am not gradute .. but working on a graduate job
- provided a non-attested photocopy of IELTS exam (7.0)

its true, i have read on HO website that there target is to process 90% applications on same day as they recieve them if no further investigation is required and provided evidence is enough.

I think some cases are approved in initail screening and doubtful ones or incomplete ones enter 8 months queue.

I m also currently in Saudi & my HSMP approved, when ur going to apply for EC. Im planing to apply after one month. Plz share ur EC experience & keep in touch.

Congratulations Sheeda, you are one of those who beat my record approval time (i got approval in 26 total days in Nov last year from Pakistan)

I paid only 150 pounds since I applied for my work permit only. I will have to pay some visa fees for my wife at the local embassy here in Saudi for her VISA but I beleive she will not be able to work in UK.
