T2G received but no decision letter/BRP details

BRP guidance at

says that when a Tier 2 General visa is granted, only a 30-day visa
vignette is stamped in my passport, and BRP needs to be collected once
the applicant arrives in the UK.

I applied for T2G visa from Moscow on July 27. I received my passport
back on August 4. However, there was no decision letter attached. The
visa stamped in my passport is valid for the whole 3-year period until
2018.

How do I get BRP? I wrote to Home Office but received no response yet.
I feel uncomfortable having to carry my passport around as an ID.

If the vignette on the passport has Tier 2 endorsement and is valid for 3 years (in line with your CoS/immigration rules) then you will not issued a BRP.

Perhaps, BRP rollout has not come into effect in Russia, or perhaps decision was taken on your application before BRP rollout launched in Russia. Don't worry .. you have the visa you need!
