Note: I requested a change of name in the British passport that is different from the name in my other passport. I simply submitted an email from my embassy confirming that the other passport could not be changed. This was accepted by HMPO but possibly resulted in the application being delayed slightly.

This is a really frustrating one, and I'd love to hear some suggestions as what can I do with it.
I've applied almost four months ago with all the documents. I assumed PR in 2015, my son was born in 2016. However, the PR was issued in August 2016 (after the birth of my son). Thus, HMPO required more documents. I've obtained a letter from the HO to confirm the date I'm deemed settled (indeed 2015), and sent to HMPO, but HMPO is still processing the application. I called them several times and spoke to our case worker himself, who said he's waiting for an internal confirmation from another department.
Is there anything I can to to get this over with?

I had submitted my joint application for naturalization and passport through NCS my local council office; however I had successfully attended my naturalization ceremony , my British naturalization ceremony was held on 22 Feb 2017 , and after within one week I post my ILR card to require office , but still I am waiting for my passport ,
Does anyone know how long it will take more time; I spoke with local council they said it’s all in home office hand,

I have had a problem with DX which is the Passport delivery service in delivering my supporting docs. I have called them to check (which took two days to get hold of them really horrible service and waiting times) they explained to me that when asked at the property no one confirmed i lived there (which is impossible as i live with my parents and brother)- They have also misspelled my name (which they claim is from HMPO fault although my interview letter had the correct name) so am now waiting for a redelivery and hoping the name on the parcel is correct or else i will have to talk to HMPO to send another request to deliver it with the correct name.

Although all in all the service is very good as it took a total of 4 working days to issue my letter and additional 2 days to deliver it to me.

I hope i get my passport in time without this delivery complication for my supporting docs.

I would advise people to call up 2 days after receiving the application receipt SMS to see if there is an update, if there is they should say a letter was sent out either requesting more info or to book appointment. If not 2 days after, try the next day, or, if you called in morning then try again later in the day, and so on and so forth, as if it is a letter to book an appointment, you could book it there and then and avoid delaying the whole process by 2 or 3 days whilst waiting for the letter to arrive.
