Hiadublin wrote:Hello everyone,
I got my retention EU5 (divorce with eu Spouse) application approved after waiting 9 months long in February 2016.
Then,I applied for EU3 (residency for 10 years) immediately I got my retention approval in hand end of February and I am waiting for any result until today 15th April 2016.
Meanwhile, on 5th April my current Stamp 4 eufam (5 years completed) card got expired and I haven't heard anything about my pending EU3 application yet!
Now my employer put me on leave until I sort out my Garda Card.
I personally visited GNIB office and told them about my situation but they said they can't extend my Card even temporarily, unless I got a letter from department to do so!
I'm really helpless now and don't know what should I do at this point!
Is there anyone reading my post here went through the same situation, please reply with any suggestions, hope or idea or share your case to let me know what I may do in this situation.
Regards.

To get your retention the key line is you need to have evidence that during your divorce proceeding your wife was residing in the state..
I was with a solicitor and she advised that the best way to prove her residency if she working and it's mostly week by week payslips..
It's better if she is residing in the country even now..
You can also provide her all p60s or p21 where it shows her evidence of residency...
She also mentioned that p60s should be explain that she was working a good bit of tax payer..like atleast 8 to 10 thousand a year earnings..which indicate a good tie to the state..
And I you should have 3 years of proving your relationship before divorce..
All address prof as well as prtb letter and such ..
Thanks very muchpukon_check wrote:3 q line for retention according to solicitor
1.divorce has to process after 3 years of marriage
2.during that atleast 1 year of working or treaty practices by Eu citizen
3.During the divorce Eu citizen has to be residing in the state with proper evidence of residency in the state..
Hope it helps..
Bro I can't afford solister just my own .pukon_check wrote:Nah man at the time of divorce don't have live together..
