MAINTENANCE FUNDS

Post by manorana2009 » Sun May 07, 2017 5:03 am

Hi Experts,

I have a question about Maintenance funds on my COS "Tick to certify maintenance for migrant (and dependents, if applicable):" Y This mark as yes.

Does that means my employer maintain and accommodate up to the end of the first month of my employment in the UK. which mean I do not need to show my funds.

Please reply

Thanks
Manoj

Yes, they also have to be an A-rated sponsor to be able to certify maintenance

Just CoS should be sufficient. Rest they have to maintain records which they would since NHS hires lot of immigrants. Make sure RLMT details (adverts and reference numbers) are mentioned in the CoS

the rest of the documents you have to get ready, english language requirements, degree etc.

The Job was advertised for a total of 35 days in the past 6 months via NHS Jobs + health Jobs UK + Universal Job Match. I can see the reference number in SOC.

Just one more thing I do not have any bachelor degree but do have HSC -12th Std equal to A-Levels and 2yrs diploma and 12+ certifications plus 6 yrs experience. Do you think this enough or I need minimum bachelor level of qualifications?

As per my employer requirements, i do have all the certifications they need. This is all they need.

Essential
• Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study or employment
• Evidence of continuing professional development pertaining to the post.
Desirable

ITIL Practitioner Qualification
Microsoft Certification
PRINCE2 Certification
Vendor certification relating to virtualization , citrix, storage, backups
Experience & Knowledge

Hello manorana, congrats for your successful process with NHS.

I'm job hunting as well, recently was offered an Interview at London (NHS Trust) which I had to decline as it was very soon and I couldn't apply for a General Visitors visa to attend it (I'm from Venezuela).

Wanted to ask to things if it's OK with you:

1) did you had to attend an interview in UK first?
2) how long did you wait since application until they gave you the CoS?

I've applied to other jobs within the Trust as well expecting replies now and was a bit down since Biomedical Engineer/Medical Technician/EBME (my experience, +5 years) aren't specified per se at the SOL but your case gives me hope! once again congrats mate.

Kind regards,
Kult

Hi Kult,

1) did you had to attend an interview in UK first?
Yes I did but it was via skype

2) how long did you wait since application until they gave you the CoS?
it took 2 months there was some issue with my job code. NHS Immigration panel has some date set every month in order to issue SOC

My suggestion only applies for Tier 2 sponsor jobs. You can see on NHS if job is sponsor or not.

Good luck for your future.

Thanks
