Fast processing, but refusal

Post by dglynn05 » Wed Feb 09, 2005 12:48 pm

Hello all,

This may come as limited comfort to those June applicants still waiting, but here's how my timeline looked:

- Couriered application from Canada on 6 January 2005
- Received by HSMP Team on 8 January 2005
- Payment cleared 10 January 2005
- Received acknowledgement via regular post around 15 January 2005
- Received refusal letter dated 21 January 2005 via normal post on 7 February 2005

Reference number in sequence 0333xx

I suspected I might get refused due to lack of documentation for graduate-level work experience because I was unwilling (up to this point) to approach my employer and let them know of my plans.

Good luck to all those preparing applications... my best advice is to follow the published guidance notes as closely as possible... they appear to be sticking by them to the letter.

Like application for credit card, mortgage <== the only time when you required to detail your work experience is when you are applying for a job or to some extent, a visa..

i have never seen anybody ask for your work experience when you are applying for credit card or mortgage..... lol

I did & it worked for me in my country.
My idea was to ask u to put yr 'thinking cap' on ..... not hinge u on specifics
