go for EC on or before the 28th Feb or else , just try and post your application atleast..... as the rules are changing effective 29th February....

Dear Friends,

Today I recieved my Documents with APPROVAL LETTER in it. It was my first Application and I made it from Karachi, Pakistan. I claimed 75 Points and got them all.

My Timelines are as follows:
Application Sent: 12-JAN-2008 (VIA DHL)
Application Recieved: 14-JAN-2008 (Through UBL VISA Credit CARD)
Payment Cleared: 14-JAN-2008
REF Recieved: 18-JAN-2008
Decision Made: 08-FEB-2008
Documents Revieved: 25-FEB-2008 (VIA AIR MAIL-No FANCY PICKUPs)

I am thankful to all of you for helping each other out. I shall now proceed with the EC stuff.

now 32 days...
according to the gurus , the avg day is 29 - 30

Any idea why taking this much time???
I called yesterday to the customer care and got the voice message like
now processing "Applications dated 28 Jan "
Does this mean they process according to the dates??

Hey Guys....
I got thru something very wired thing....even after waiting very long I just called them up and they said I have to wait till 14th week....Then I tried another trick..I sent them mail about enquiry 20th feb and they replied on 24th feb saying that your application has been considered on 7th feb and ur all docs with reuslt already sent back on ur address....and received all my docs with result on 21th feb.....
And Result was I got approval.......so I was plannig to FLR but now HSMP rules ahve changed from 29th Feb....I m currently in UK on WP and dont know how to go for FLR

They are processing applications received on 29th Jan.

Here are my timelines:

Application was on Pro-rata basis. 9 months of UK Salary and 3 months of Indian Salary.
Applied on: 28th Jan 2008 (In country application)
Received on: 29th Jan 2008.
Amount Debited on: 29th Jan 2008
Reference Number on: 6th Feb 2008 (248***)
Approved on 4th March
Received documents back on: 6th Feb 2008

With no offences meant to anyone, I spoke with a few consultants before my application and they were ready to loot me for 1500 Pounds.
I read the Guidance form atleast 20 times and went through the Official Case worker's manual. I did my application on my own, though MANY consultants told me that mine would be doubtful since it is on Pro rata.
All that is required to apply is simple common sense and patience to go through the document carefully!

Would be more than ready to help anyone who needs it!
