EEA family permit (traveling together)

HI my name is Yoel, I'm a Belgian citizen and my wife is Ecuadorian, we currently live in Ecuador but want to move to the uk so we are applying for the EEA family permit, however I have certain doubts
1) I read on a different post that since we are traveling together we don't need to fill the financial information about my wife or me (the EEA national) and that we also don't need to fill the spaces about reasons for the trip and stay length, is that correct?
2) What about the appointment I have to book after the digital application is ready, is it a sort of interview? If it is, what should I say when asked about financials, reasons for stay and length of stay?
3) What are the chances of getting rejected? Can we re apply if we do?
