using highlighter pen in payslip and bankstatement for HSMP

Post by tkpvijay » Tue Feb 26, 2008 11:59 am

Hi Friends,
this forum really helped me in preparing docs for HSMP.
But I did one thing thats worrying my mind.

1) I highlighted with a yellow highlighter pen, the salary credit transaction in the bank transaction statement which had the bank seal and sign.

2) Also, as there was arrears in my salary slip for February - I highlighted
the arrears amount with yellow highlighter and prepared a seperate statement explaining the split up of salary without considering the arrears.

3) I have mentioned in the covering letter that I have not taken the arrears into consideration. Will these be a problem in HSMP approval?

My timelines are as follows:
6th feb - sent docs by DHL courier
8th feb - reached HSMP office.
15th feb - recieved reference number. ( I used HSBC cheque - hence late)
waiting any further mails from HSMP.

Highlighting the salary inputs with a marker, in your bank statements is not a problem.

As for salary slips, it would have been better if you hadn't tampered with that. Have you explained this in the covering letter ? If so, it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi,
So far as get the requisite points in ur earnings, it shold not be a problem.
Immigration law is mystery and a mastery in obfuscation, and the lawyers who can figure that out are worth their weight in gold.
