Additional work whilst on Tier 2 visa

Post by ecsy911 » Tue May 30, 2017 10:21 am

Hi,

I am wondering if there are restrictions about doing additional whilst on Tier 2 general visa? Eg. Can I set up a stall at the local market selling cakes?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, you are not legally allowed to.

The only additional job that you can do is one with the same SOC code as your current one.

What about if i am just helping out a friend at the stall? Would that be considered legal?

Your dependent can do this but not you. The only allowed part time job 20 hours is supplementary employment which has to PAYE and within the same SoC
