Hi All
I have received my stamped documents today for the initial 2years

05 Feb 2008: Sent applicaiton via Royal Mail Special Delivery
06 Feb: Application received at HO
07 Feb: Payment deducted
11 Feb: Received reference number LTxxxxxxxx/xx
20 Feb: HO has dispatched my documents home
22 Feb: stamped documents for 2years LTR

It takes approx 2.5weeks i guess on an average. Tose whose payments were deducted on 8th should get their documents on monday max tuesday.

It takes 2days for recorded deliveray and since Royal mail in all royalty does not work weekends MOnday could be the day
When I called to HO they said they can't give application status before the SLA which is 4 weeks & just wondering how you guys got the status from them. on Recording still the messge for application made on 4th Feb..
very simple Prateek

tell them the date you applied then
tell them your employer was wants your current status in the uk to work
then ask them if its worth applying for urgent treatment

it worked for me  :D

Congrats gaurav.

Very strange, the recorded phone message still says that they are currenly processing applications sent on the Feb 4th and we have more recent applications being approved?

Is it just a case of recorded phone message not in sync with actual processing?

I will continue drinking more green tea and doing yoga while I wait......

The recorded message is updated only on Mondays....

Well not sure how they work... I found they are 1 week ahead of what it plays...

Payment not deducted

Post by mohit18012006 » Sat Feb 23, 2008 12:53 pm

I have sent all my documents on 6th Feb and I see they had received on 12 Feb. But still payment had not been deducted from my credit card. I have checked with Bank also and they have not received any request from HO.
If there is any issue with my signature or payment details, what would happen and if they return all documents, how long it will take for them to send back to me.

If anyone came acoss such situation, please advice...

Thanks
Mohit

hsmp FLR application

Post by doctor145 » Sat Feb 23, 2008 6:22 pm

can some one help me please. I am applying for extension of my HSMP stay. i am not sure how to fill the past earning section. In the last year my earnings were 49000 pounds there fore i have ticked for 45 points. All of my earnings were in the UK. I am not sure about question no 43. Do i need to fill this question and put 49000 pounds in the UK section and put 0 in the overseas part. Or should I leave question 43 blank . But if i leave question 43 blank then how will i put the exact 49000 pounds on application because question 42 is just a tick and it does not specify the exact figure. thanks
can someone reply please

Leave question 43 blank. Notice the wording "If any of the earnings for which points are being claimed were earned overseas..." This doesn't apply to your situation because you earned all your income in the UK.

You don't need to specify your exact earnings in the application form. That information is to be shown in the supporting documents you provide with your application, e.g. salary slips, P60 certificate, letter from employer, bank statements, etc.

One other point: the instruction after Question 43 says "Now go to Question 45 below". That is obviously incorrect. It should instead state "Now go to Question 47 below".

Overall, I found the form to have been poorly designed. But I suppose one can't expect anything better from these folks.

Hello all,

A follow up on my FLR, my application has been approved..

IN-COUNTRY Application (was on Work Permit, WP)

Below are my time line details:
Sent: 12-Feb-08 (Royal Mail Special Delivery - Courier address)
Arrived at HO: 13-Feb-08
Fees Debited (Credit card - online check): 13-Feb-08
Reference No.: LT XXX XXX (obtained on the 14th Feb 08 through calling the helpline, and post on the 20th Feb 08)
Decision: APPROVAL - Letter dated 16th Feb 08 (Received through POST on 25th Feb 08) < they work on Saturday too!

It is very quick... I was about to give them a ring in 2 days time.... the surprise thing was my FLR was approved 2 days after the credit card was charged.

Maybe, it quicker since my WP was valid from June '07 - June '12. Not sure.

Thanks all for your great information. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions (if you think i am able to help), and I will try my best to help out...

Now, the next challenge is, how do i tell my boss... the reason why i changes from the 5-yrs WP to 2-yrs HSMP?

Keep receiving a msg saying the number is not valid.
Wonder if they are doing maintenance on their line?

FLR HSMP

Post by touchsensor » Tue Feb 26, 2008 11:55 am

Hello everyone,

I just called the number 01142074074....the first attempt it did say invalid. It went through the second attempt.

According to the recorded msg, they are processing application received on 7/2/08. As some of us here have received their approval for application sent on wc 12/2/08, I am sure the recorded msg is a lil outdated.

It will be good to have a form a monitoring list to see how long it takes to approve.

My two cents worth!

Just re-read your earlier posting...
How come the LTR is for 2 years?? I thought HSMP LTRs are for 3 years.
Or is this your initial HSMP application?

Please clarify.

delay...

Post by anjali_devi » Wed Feb 27, 2008 7:43 am

All, I spoke to HO yesterday.

They told me that currently FLR's are taking about 4 to 5 weeks.

I am told that a large part of the team is being rotated for new scheme training and hence the delay.

Cheers.

How come 2 years? I thought HSMP FLRs are for 3 years at a minimum?
