Hello everyone,

My husband is a EU national and applied for residence certificate along with me who requested residence card. We both submit it on June 3 and I have received my residence card today but still no certificate for my husband. I wonder why it takes a lot of time for the residence certificate. Any ideas?

We applied for EEA(QP) for my wife, a German national working in the UK, and our two children (also holding German nationality). We used the online application at https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/eea-qp and then lodged the supporting paperwork (copies of passport etc.) at a local council office offering the European Passport Return Service https://www.gov.uk/government/collectio ... rn-service

Online application lodged: 19-Mar-2017
Email confirmation of application received: 20-Mar-2017
Passport copies and supporting paperwork submitted (through council office offering the European Passport Return Service): 25-Mar-2017
Requested return of original documents: 4-May-2017

We haven't heard anything further as of 12-May-2017. However our immigration lawyer did say that if the supporting documents didn't reach the Home Office within the ten working days allowed after submitting the online application, it would be refused (and it wasn't - so that's a good sign).

Update 5 June 2017: Registration Certificates received and all other documents returned. Overall a bit over two months from first online application to receiving the certificates in the post.

Hello

I have applied for an EEA (QP) Registration certificate for me and my (non-EEA) spouse online on 23 May 2017. I have received a confirmation email on 24 May and then nothing.

It's over 8 weeks.

Do applicants definitely get a request for biometrics, and a COA? My spouse has a job with the NHS and is waiting to start. I presume no one knows of any ways to get this moving?
