Maintainace funs

Post by chiibe » Tue Jun 06, 2017 8:16 pm

Please a friend needs advice. She is an entrepreneur who has renewed visa with her spouse. Her child intends to apply outside UK.

The funds kept for 90 is her spouse's AC who is equally her dependent.

The question is can the child apply using the father's A/C.

The rule require money to be in the Main applicants name or the dependants name. But seeing the dependants here is a minor and having the husband on her records can they apply using the husbands AC statement.

Immigration Rules Appendix C: maintenance (funds)
1A
(k) If the applicant wishes to rely on a joint account as evidence of available funds, the applicant (or for children under 18 years of age, the applicant’s parent or legal guardian who is legally present in the United Kingdom) must be named on the account as one of the account holders.
