Evidence of cohabitation for FLRM extension

Post by scorpio81 » Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:04 pm

Hi

My wife has applied for FLRM extension. The home office has sent a letter requesting documentary evidence of cohabitation (2-1/2 years) for me and my wife for the past 2-1/2 years. The current requirement is at least 3 documents per year addressed jointly to us. If we don't have enough joint letters than individual letters have to be provided.

My question is that in case of individual letters, do we have to provide 3 letters each (6 in total) for myself and my wife per year or a total 3 letters per year.?

Also we are struggling to find letters for 2014, is there any solution to this.

Please if seniors could advise on this. Many Thanks

If you have correspondence in joint names, then provide 6 items which should be from at least 3 different sources.

If you only have examples in single names, then you'll need to submit 6 each.

Look for anything you may have with a name, date and address. It doesn't have to be bills or official documents.

Dear Casa

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.

Please advise if the following should be sufficient:-

2017
Bank Statement in joint name
Council Tax in Joint Name
Tenancy Agreement in Joint Name

2016
HMRC Letter Joint Name
NHS Letter Joint Name
1 each individual letter

2015
2 letters on my wife's name
1 council letter on my name

2014
For 2014 we have 2 letters from the council and 1 letter from the NHS for my son and they are addressed in the following format

Parents of XYZ
Address

will these be considered as a joint letter for me and my wife.?

Thanks

Yes, providing they are evenly spread over the 2.5 year qualifying period.
