I have sent a joint application (EEA and non-EEA spouse) on the 10th Apr, documents received in Liverpool on the 13th Apr.

It's been now 8 weeks since the documents have been reached the Capital Building in Liverpool and I still haven't received the biometric enrolment letter.

I have sent an email to eurobiometrics and got a reply a standard reply a few days later informing the application and payment were received and that "UKVI is experiencing higher than average intake bla bla bla".

Has anyone else applied for EEA PR online on the first fortnight of April and is still waiting for their Biometrics?

BTW, a friend of mine applied on the beginning of March, received the Bio letter 2 weeks later and got has Bio card yesterday..so just under 3 months for the whole process!

Thanks!

We were expecting a letter for biometric but received the following letter along with valid passports (myself, son and British spouse) without requesting them back:

''Thank you for your recent Euro application.

We acknowledge receipt of the application above, and have taken photocopies of the enclosed passport(s). There should be no need for you to resubmit these to the Home Office unless specified by the case worker.

Should you require any further information please see our website:

Yours Sincerely''

is this the normal procedure or there should be a biometric letter first?
Anyone has any information please....

Hi everyone,

sorry for moving conversation slightly off- topic, but I really need a good piece of advice here.
As a EU national applying for EEA PR I was wandering if any of you in same circumstances know about travelling 2 weeks for holiday back home once the application has been submitted (via post). Did you have to schedule travel to a date after receiving COA or after doing biometrics? by other words are there any stages in the process that require us to be in the country? if yes which ones and please elaborate more on the reasons.

Thank you in advance

Hi.
I've sent my ID and other document to Home office (EEU). I've recieved an email which says they have recieved my documents and application. Payment was taken. But I am waiting 4 months now and still nothing. Does anyone knows what would happend if I will ask to return my ID? Would they cancel processing my application or they will continue even without my document? Thanks for any reply.

as EU national you will not receive biometric letter or COA, if you have travel documents- you can travel.
If someone is non-EU they will receive biometric letter and must submit it with post office within 15 days. If all fine with documents to go through border on the way back- you can travel, I don't see any problem.

Hi everyone,
Would like to share my wife's (Non EU) and my (EU) timeline:

Application Sent: 25 Nov 2016
Application Received: 26 Nov 2016
Payment taken: 26 Nov 2016
Confirmation email by HO: 7 Dec 2016
Letter by HO requesting Biometrics: 6 Dec 2016
Confirming receipt by Letter: 28 Dec 2016
EU Passport requested back: 24 April 2017
EU Passport received: 29 April 2017
PR confirmation letter from HO date and all docs received: 11 May 2017
PR Card Received: 13 June 2017

Decision made just short of 6 months, but actual PR card for my wife received after 6.5 months, and that after 2 reminders to HO of the whereabouts.

Hope this helps and good luck everyone. It's a painful long process...

Eu wife, non-EU husband, applying together
Applied 22nd December
Biometric letter dated 14th Jan, received 17th Jan
Biometrics submitted 18th Jan
Confirmation letter 24th Jan
Documents received back 14th June (dated 9th June)
Waiting for the biometric card for husband

A quick question to others: the letter says 'the courier will deliver the card and you'll be required to provide a photoID and sign'. Is it going to be Royal Mail or courier? Can the wife receive and sign on husband's behalf? Husband leaving to work in Scotland for four weeks, so we are worried...

Dx delivery will deliver your parcel not post office also your wife can collect it on your behalf so far you left your I.D or your bank card to show to the delivery guy
