Alternatives for UK Citizen Wives?

Hi,


I have applied for a wife settlement. I really do think I will be accepted, but its always having that back up plan. I do not want to go too long without seeing my husband.


Would I be able to apply for a visitor visa if settlement ever got denied? And how soon?

Or

Once having the visitor visa and actually go IN the UK , THEN.... apply in the uk for settlement while im there?

You cannot switch from visitor visa to any other category within the UK. A visitor visa is unlikely to be successful after a refused spouse visa application as the intention to settle would have been declared.
