ashok,

No nothing from my side. Last was I called yesterday and they said it would still take 4 more weeks. Don't know if it was a standard answer or specific to my case.

I called the VFS office and found out and later wnet and collected it from the VFS office. Status on the website changed today.
On website:

Processed application delivered to Blue Dart on 27 Feb 2008

Yeah man!! you got to wait........status on the website doesn't change that fast. After 10 days you can call the VFS office and verify....

Even, I got the same reply( that it will take further 4 weeks to process)
when I enquired the status on Tuesday.

I called up today morning and was told that a decision would be taken either today or on Monday.

I called them today morning and lady told to call after march 12th and she told they didn't start feb applications

and here we r even getting results of feb. applications....

Thanks anup(??) It's funny that 2 days ago they said it will take 4 weeks, today for me they say decision will be made today or Monday and for you they said it will be another 2 weeks

Guys can you just let me know what needs to be entered in the application reference number? On https://www.vfs.org.in/ApplicantStatus.aspx site.

I am giving eg 'ABCD/123456/123456/1' which is written on the slip I got from the VFS. But it says invalid search.

What needs to be entered to get the status???

yeah the reciept number and your Date of birth is what u need to enter. Just wait for a couple of days and try. Even I got the same message initially but it changed later. All the best.

The status on site will change only after decision is taken. It is better to call them and get an idea of what is your status.

Hai All,

There is a new Popup window that is coming up today when you visit the website http://www.vfs-uk-in.com/. It is about "NEW UK VISA INFORMATION SERVICE".

Please go through it for the new information desk number. "From 29 February you should dial 080-40084008 for general visa enquiries and information. Calls are charged at local or STD rates depending on your location."

Also there is a note at the end "Please note that all the existing Visa Application Centre Helpline numbers will be withdrawn from 10 March"

time is up for today, i'll check the status on monday. Last month's avg waiting time was 28-30 days. This month it shud've improved, its already 23 days, so shud get a result by monday or tuesday.

Congratulations. I get the Delhi and Bombay have generally been quicker then Chennai. The volume at Chennai is probably higher as we saw from the Dec Applicants. It's been 18 working days for me including the date of application. No change in status on the website. Beginning to get nervous now.

@anto, its been 23 days, but only 18 working days. Looks like we both applied on the same day at Chennai VFS.

my application status is changed now:
"Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same 29 Feb 2008"

I'll let u guys know the result on monday after collecting the passport.
