Tier 2 General - Extension and Eligibility for ILR

Post by AKANTONY » Thu Jun 15, 2017 3:27 pm

Hi,
My current Work Permit is expiring on 19th September 2017 and I have few questions were if someone could help me out will be greatly appreciated.

Current Tier 2 General Visa
Issue Date - 14/08/2014
Expiry Date - 19/09/2017

*What Docs are required while applying for Tier 2 General Extension Visa ?

* Once I make application in August along with my wife for extension visa. Could we both apply for ILR by 14/08/2019. My wife came to UK in May 2016 only though.

* Currently I am working as PR for my company and I am on Annual Salary of £21750. How shall I make sure when I apply for ILR in 2019 , the application goes smoothly avoiding any chance of refusal. What all are the things I need to keep in mind while making application for it.

* What are the mandatory docs for ILR application?

Your valuable suggestions will help me to prepare our applications without making any error's and will be obliged to keep everyone updated on my visa's progress to help others on this forum.

Kind Regards
Arun K Antony

No, your spouse cannot apply for ILR with you. She requires 5 years residence as a PBS dependent.

You must meet the salary requirement to qualify for ILR. Any sudden, huge increases just before ILR will be a red flag to HO to investigate you and your sponsor.
Salary Threshold Date new threshold commences
£35,000 6th April 2016
£35,500 6th April 2018
£35,800 6th April 2019
£36,200 6th April 2020

Suggest ask you ILR questions closer to the time as anything can change between now and then.

Hi,
I switched from Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2 General back in 2014. Since I am going to extend my visa with the same employer, Am I my I eligible to apply as Tier 2 Extension ISC exempt?

Kind Regards
Arun

Do you mean 'Immigration skills charge'???

If yes, this is not applicable to extension applications but to NEW applications.
