Travelling after applying for citizenship

Post by Muira » Sun Jun 18, 2017 6:09 pm

I am planning to travel to another western European country for a few days and my application for citizenship is still being considered.

Will it count against me if I go away for a few days?

And do I need to inform the Home Office of my absence away?

The total number of days I've been away for my qualifying period is less than 25 days.

Not an issue and no need to inform HO - the application is considered based on the facts up to the application date. Travel after that doesn't count into the total. Presumably you have done your biometrics.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thank you for that.

Yes, I submitted my biometrics last month, so I'm now just waiting on the decision to be made regarding my application.
