He applied on 15th May 2017.
I was told by HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA, since his PIO was issued in Mumbai, it will take longer.
I have tried my best to get a relevant answer from them so far, they dont seem to know
can someone here confirm the below? It was on their website.
The Government of India has announced vide Gazette Notification No.26011/01/2014IC.I dated 09 January 2015, that all PIO cards issued till 09 January 2015 are deemed to be OCI.
Is this correct, even after 30th of June 2017 (the last date to apply for OCI)
His PIO was issued in 2014. We are travelling for 2 weeks on 8th July.
I would really appreciate any help.
