How to reschedule court hearing

Post by dilse4srk » Mon Jun 19, 2017 2:56 pm

Hi all

Could some body please let me know if its wise to reschedule court hearing. And if we do reschedule from the original hearing date, how long would it take to get the next hearing.
The reason to post pond the hearing is that my wife is due for birth 1 week after the court hearing and the travel to court is around 4 hours drive which will be difficult for her to travel.

Please let me know

Thanks

Hello, I am not sure if this is late. Speaking from experience I only know about expediting a hearing , that is requesting to have it moved forward. The person in question wrote to the tribunal explaining why they needed an earlier hearing and that was it. Not sure if they might request some sort of evidence or proof but email them first. If it was possible to request an earlier hearing then I think it might be possible to have it delayed or pushed back . Have you written to the tribunal yet? Perhaps try customerservice@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk hopefully it still works. All the best
