I saw that.. It's quite helpful. Especially when you come to the education part. It allows you to select your university. If it's in the list, then it means it's okay.

There's a part on the Tier 1 application where it asks if your university was verified through the points calculator.. So it seems like a better process than before. No more worrying about NARIC.. Unless your uni isn't on the list..

Agreed.

only problem is that the calculator is too slow, keeps refreshing after each entry

But at least accurate.

I think the "English language requirements" given in workpermit.com is incorrect http://www.workpermit.com/news/2008-02- ... olders.htm

As given in Workpermit
Have obtained a professional qualification, not including a professional or vocational qualification, which is considered at least equal to a UK Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in one of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK, the USA (note: Canada is NOT included in this list)
which does'nt seems to me quite true.

The calculator is really quite good. Now what they should really come up with is online application. :-)
