MN1 Registeration and British Citizenship

Dear All,
I just received my ILR and am looking to register my UK born child as the British Citizen. I had the following questions:
a) Is there a way to speed up the process (e.g. a premium service?)
b) What is the process / steps to get the British Passport (i.e. wait for the MN1 process to complete and apply for passport later or can both be done together?)

a) No. Postal only.

b) Apply using NCS at the council and you get to keep all your origi also and you can apply for citizenship and passport at the same time using the JCAP scheme.
