Hi Guys

The PBS [TIER1] starts in UK today. Check the BIA website
I was looking at the application forms and seems once we have the HSMP approval letter, we will have apply for FLR using the Tier1 form and not the FLR(HSMP).

Does this mean we will get an initial leave for 3 years or 2 years.

Kindly share you thoughts

FLR:Which rule applies to the approvals got in old system?

Post by hur » Fri Feb 29, 2008 11:45 am

Hi,

Which rule applies to the approvals got in old system?.
I mean, many of us who have applied for initial approvals in the month of february would get the approval as per old system. So, for the next step of VISA stamping, what would be the form, fee and the number of years stamping ?.

Many thanks..

Hi Hur.

For all who applied for Initial HSMP application in the month of Feb and for those who have the approval letter and have not applied for FLR(HSMP), the FLR will be granted based on the new Tier 1 system.

check the below link for Transitional arrangements for the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme and plz share ur understanding.

what is the contact number to check for the reference number and staus.

I sent the application from within Uk on 26th Feb 2008 by royal mail spl delivery

received on 27th Feb.

The payment has not yet been taken from my card and I have also not received an acknowledgement. I tried calling 0114 207 4074 but this number is not working.

HSMP & FLR Approved

Post by arunhsmp » Sat Mar 01, 2008 12:24 am

Guys,

What a relief after a period of 4 weeks of suspense.

HSMP Application Sent: 4th Feb
FLR Application Sent: 4th Feb (my visa was expiring on 7th Feb)
HSMP & FLR Payments Deducted: 5th Feb
Urgent Treatment form for HSMP Sent: 11th FEb
Urgent Treatment accepted: 20th Feb (after faxing for 10 times)
HSMP Approved Letter: 28th Feb
Urgent Treatment Form for FLR Sent: 28th Feb
FLR Passport with visa stamp returned: 29th Feb

Its been quite a up and down few weeks as my 1st HSMP was declined due to one document missing. But All is well which ends well. Thanks a lot for this forum its very useful.

All the best guys!

Hi
DId you apply from out of UK?

I have applied from India, and would like to know whether most people do receive any such letter from HO on reference number?

After how many days of your payment getting debited, did you receive the letter by the way?

Regards.

Hi,

I applied within UK (WP to HSMP in country application). I have both my payments debited HSMP (second day of submitting the application and FLR second day as well).

It has been exactly 22 working days so far (applied 7th FEB). Normally the letter shoudl go to my consultant but I think it was a mistake.

I am hoping to get postive news this week. Fingers cross.

Regards
A

Hi Itsmanu,
Yes u can definitely apply for ur HSMP provided u qualify with the minimum 75 points. Your dependant staus does not prevent u from doing that. Although, on second thought I'm wondering why u would want to do that, as u can legally enjoy all the perks that ur spouse is entitled to.
Immigration law is mystery and a mastery in obfuscation, and the lawyers who can figure that out are worth their weight in gold.

www.spammer.com/ should be helpful in analyzing the existing system.

Hi!
No haven't received a ref no. yet. :(
I'm hoping that I will get one by early next week.

When are you leaving for the UK? I'm leaving at the end of May, but not arriving until end of June. If I don't get this in time (my deadline will have to be middle of april), I will apply for the WHM, and then pay for a trip home sometime in the next year to get EC. It's sooo annoying how they changed the law at this time.

I had all these plans to do a switch to HSMP whilst living in London, but now have had to stress out to get all the necessary doco before the law changed etc.

Keep in touch, would be keen to know when you get your ref no, and acceptance.

Good luck.
