Should i do overtime?

I am going to apply for spouse visa next month and i am earning £19,409 a year.
I am being offered overtime for a couple of weekends of £200 a day. I want to know if i decide to do the overtime will it affect the visa application?
Do you think they will question why my salary increased for a month or two? Or do i need to write a cover letter saying why it increased.
I have asked around and people have said it doesnt affect it, it only affects it if your salary goes down.

No issue, as long as it is PAYE and not cash in hand.

Of course you should do overtime to finance your costly application. It won't affect your application if you are earning sufficiently. If you choose salaried person then HO will take lowest salary figure in to their consideration and if you choose non-salaried then average of 6 months wages will be taken. Based on your wages I think you will be ok in either way.

Thats fine thanks a lot for your help and time. Just wanted to make sure as previously its been rejected. I work for the NHS so itll be PAYE.
My salary increased from £16,800 to £19,409 in june 2017 and i will be applying end of August 2017 so after 3 months.

Iv been in NHS since 2014 so should be ok.

I would suggest waiting till you have 6 months payslips on your new salary to avoid a possible refusal if HO takes your 6 payslips and uses the least value on to calculate the financial requirement.

Yeah true.... think is the wait is long.
I can meet the financial requirement via 2 ways. First through salary and second through savings.
They do decide to use the least value which will be £16,800 wage slip then the savings will be calculated of £20,400 i think roughly but i have £30,000 in my account... so 6 months back itll be £26,000 so will they still reject it do you think?
Can you select multiple financial sources on the application i cant remember now like salary and savings?

You can combine sources, but the first £16,000 of your savings will generally be disregarded.

Right, so that means i have no chance if i apply after 3 months. £30,000 (savings)- £16,000 = £14,000.

I guess i have to wait 6 months then

With £30000 savings you will be alright as they would cover a shortfall of £30000-16000÷2.5= £5600.

You can also apply on non-salaried basis if you have earned at least £9300 during the last 6 months, if so, then can apply earlier than waiting next 6 months.

Im in bit of a dilemma, not sure what to do...

Ill tell you the full story... I applied for spouse visa last year December 2016.
Salary was then £16,800... not enough to meet financial requirement.
Sister gave a gift of £13,980 (ish not sure on exact figure)
So financial requirement was met via savings.

Visa refusal reasons:

1) Applicant medical TB test photograph not looking of applicant... basically she looked different to what she looked on wedding as she did not wear make up for medical TB test photograph

2)HO did not believe my sister gifted me the money as they feel like it is not under my control even though it was in my account for 6 months and she also wrote a letter to declare she had gifted it to me and signed it.

3) not enough evidence was submitted e.g. screenshot of chats and calls... i didnt know i only did a month... should have done since i got married which was Feb 2016 i only included Nov and Dec screenshots. Not sure why i did that.

i did not appeal i thought i will re-apply fresh when job salary goes up.

So now my situation is different i dont need to show i have been gifted the money from sister as i am earning more than the financial requirement and i will get her to redo the medical test with better photo and will add more screenshots.

my questions are:

Will HO check previous time i applied and ask why i didnt appeal?

On what basis can i apply if i apply now before 6 months? i mean reason or how... as the people i ask they keep saying i have to wait 6 months.
Is there a chance it will be rejected if i apply now... or is there a better chance it wont be rejected if i apply after 6 months?

My main concern is HO checking previous time i applied and extracting information from then and then criticising why i didnt do this or that.

They won't ask that why you didn't appeal your last refusal which was your choice. New application will be dealt with new documents. Don't overthink. You didn't read the previous posts in which you have been asked that have you earned £9300 in the last 6 months, if so then apply as non-salaried instead waiting next 6 months. Plus make sure to attach as much as you can the subsisting relation evidences from the time you met your partner or date of marriage (if arranged marriage-indicate very clearly that to HO).

Last months salary was £1,411.94 (increased new salary)
Salary before past 6 months was based on £16,800 income so around £1,200 each month for a year iv been getting that so iv not really earned not £9,300 for 6 months

You must calculate your income (monthly) before deductions (tax/NI etc)

Thanks for your help sorry to be a pain.
Before tax deductions its £1,400 a month.
So final verdict i can apply before 6 months?
I hate maths and calculations so dont know the maths end of working the savings and stuff out still a little lost.
Im 23 years old didnt realise it was going to be this much hassle applying etc.

One last question based on the figures i have provided which is the best route to apply i mean on the VAF form what box do i tick in section 3 from financial source.
Do i select savings? Income from salaried employment and savings both?
Just needed to know the grounds i can make the application on e.g. savings or income from salary and savings combined?

You need a minimum monthly salary of £1550 before tax and deductions.

Yes now that my salary has gone (june 2017) up its £1703.57 a month so after 3 months it should be ok?
June, July and August
