Tier 2 Extension 30K Query

Hi,

I understand that there is a requirement of 30K if you extend your visa, my question is if this 30K is for 40 hours or 39 hours?

My contract is for 37.5, will it be pro-rated as per the number of contracted hours?

Any suggestions would highly be appreciated.

Yes, when you extend Tier 2 the pay will be pro-rated.

No 30K is the absolute minimum you should be getting paid at the time of extension. No matter how many number of hours you do.

Extension Requirement is 30k or Minimum required for the respective SOC (whichever is higher).

Hi,

You are confusing things. If you are salary is lower than 30K then you will not be awarded points for Rate of Pay and hence will be a reason for refusal.

Check paragraph 26.8 on page 111 in Tier 2 Policy Guidance.
