When to apply for ILR??

My Leave to Remain and WP were granted on 31 July, 2003, so if I apply for ILR on
3/07/ 2008, I have 252 days absences in the total 5 years including both business (91 days) and personal holiday (161 days).
But I if I apply on
03/09/ 2008, the absences will be 228 days (86 days business and 142 days personal).

When shall I apply for ILR? What will be my chance?
