Grandfather's dates on certificate don't quite match

Post by Mandelbaum » Mon Jul 31, 2017 12:44 pm

Hi, I'm on the path to applying for an Irish passport via my grandparents on my dad's side having been born in Ireland.

Much of my research has been via ancestry.com and whilst I can get an absolute 100% match for my grandfather for a marriage in England in 1915 and a death certificate in 1972, his Irish birth certificate is 7th May 1890, while his DoB according to his death certificate is 11th May 1890.

Will this be enough to satisfy my application? I'm pretty sure I have all the other certificates.

Many thanks in advance!

My grandfather's date of birth was 2 years different on his birth and death certificates and my Foreign Birth Registration went through without question.
