Planing a Trip to Country of Origin on Temporary Stamp 4

Hi Folks,
we are family members of an EU national in our case British, we have recently got temporary stamp 4 and we wish to visit our country of origin. Now, for this matter we have obtained re-entry visas(which calls for another topic i shall be posting soon) however, the questions are as follows;
1) Can we travel without our EU sponsor?
2) How long can we stay back home as we are planing a 3 months long trip.
3)Has anyone had any trouble travelling back and froth while having a temporary stay?
4) Any word of advice Do's and DONTs.

What sort of stamp have you got? Have you got an EU FAM Stamp 4? If yes, then I don't think you need a re-entry visa on that. I have had that stamp for nearly 4+ years at this stage and I never needed a re-entry visa.
