Hello All
My HSMP visa is expiring in Sep 2008. but I applied for extension 2 days ago and I received acknowledgement letter from BIA today.
After sending my application I spotted that my application will not meet requirements because my bank balance dropped below GBP 800. But I am in a permanent job and my earnings in last 12 months were over GBP 65000. My current bank balance is more than GBP 5000. I also attached a letter from my employer stating my designation and earnings in last 14 months. I also sent my bank statements for last 12 months highlighting 'my salary IN' transactions.
But I guess as my bank balance dropped below GBP 800 in last 3months, my application fail to qualify. I am thinking of withdrawing my application at this point and reapply after few months (after maintaining bank balance over GBP 800) as my visa is still valid until Sep-2008.
If I withdraw my application now, will home office refund GBP 350. Please advice me in this regard.
Regards
Vin

Hello
Even though I was on HSMP, now I have to get extension under Tier1 rules.
Tier 1 rule:
Z. MAINTENANCE (FUNDS) REQUIREMENT
In order for the application to be approved the applicant must have a minimumlevel of funds. The applicant must score
10 points for their level of funds. If they do not score 10 points the application will be refused.
Regards,
Vin

No, they never refund when one withdraws their application. According to the rules, your application will be refused.

Then I would provide statements from other bank accounts fast to show in totality you were not below 800 pounds

if the hsmp visa was valid till sep 08, then why did u apply for renewal so soon?
are you recently unemployed and trying to make the earnings criteria in the worry that you will find it difficult to get a new job because of short visa duration left. just curious as to the reason for applying many months in advance

Good guess but... you are not correct...
My wife is going to our home country soon for next 8-10 months...
I thought of getting the visa extended before she leaves...
