Appendix 2 question

hello,

if we are relying on the UK spouse earning over £18,600, it is clearly Part 3A of the Appendix 2 that we complete. But in question 3.3, where we choose Part 3A, there is also a choice of Category A or Category B as to the 'option you are relying on'. I'm not quite sure of the difference between them. Can someone please help?

If the sponsor is with the same employer for past 6 months then you would choose Cat A whereas if the current employment is less than 6 months with same employer but have earned 18,600 in last 12 months it's Cat B.
