Hi there, i am about to apply for ROR and would appreciate if forum members could help me please. A bit about myself, I came to UK on a student visa in early 2011 and met my eea national wife in summer of 2012. After being in a relationship for a few months we got married in October 2012, applied for an eea2 in January 2013 which was granted in 6 weeks. Earlier this year my wife and I started to have severe problems in our relationship, which led to divorce. Decree absolute was issued in August 2017.
My ex-wife has been working since 2012 but there was time from February 2014-June 2014 when she was working for different agencies and didn't had a permanent job. For about 2.5 months she had no jon at all. However, she was applying for jobs and getting response from recruitment agencies (i do have some emails to prove). While she was unemployed she didn't apply for any job seekers allowance. From July 2014 until today she has been working for the same company and I have all the relevant paperwork i.e payslips, p60s, employment history letter. We were married for 4 years and 10 months but shared the house with our friends for first 3 years of our marriage and don't have a lot of proof of addresses. However, we do have a bank statements, company letters etc. In August 2015 we rented our own flat, i was the leading tenant with my wife and a mutual friend sharing the flat. I have a lot of proof address since we rented our own flat. Tenancy agreement, bills, council tax, payslips etc. The whole pile is about 5kgs lol
Now, my question is I'm applying for ROR in a weeks time but can I apply for variation of my application after 5th anniversary of my wedding? Even though I got divorced after 4 years and 10 months? Do I have sufficient evidence for PR or shall I stick to ROR? Also, I have read on this forum a few people got their PR refused as they didn't send their ex-partners ID. I'm not sure if she will give me her original passport as it took me months to get her payslips and p60s. I had to involve her mother to get all the paperwork I have. I might get a copy of her passport but there's no chance she would give me her original passport. Has anyone experienced same issues as I'm experiencing now? I would highly appreciate your response from the moderators and members of this forum. Thank you
