Indian passport renewal query

hi all, please help me with below query.
My Indian passport expires on 10 Feb 2018 and my UK visa expires on 29 Sept 2017. Can i apply for UK visa before renewing my passport? Will there be a problem with less than six months of validity left on my passport?
Secondly, if i can first renew my visa, can i travel to India with the new visa and return to UK in Jan and then renew my passport here? Or will there be a problem entering UK with less than one month of validity on the passport left?
