Tier 2 Dependent Application

Dears,
i'm applying for my dependent visa on Tier 2 (general-shortage occupation list).
in website (www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk).
which type of visa should i apply for??
-Visit?
-Work (Visa type [tier 2 general visa] and (visa subtype general parterner?]))??

Now can I apply for them using a hotel booking? I'll travel to the UK next week and I want to apply for them before I leave. Will the hotel booking be enough? Till I reach the uk and rent a flat??

Yes.

Any work except as a Dr or Dentist in training.

Study but will have to pay international student fees and wont' qualify for student finance.
