Applying for citizenship with a residence permit with maiden name

Hello. My wife received a confirmation of permanent residence card and wants to apply for citizenship. We married after she obtained the PR card and she has taken my surname. The permit, however, has her maiden name. Can she still apply for citizenship? Thanks.
