EU (Polish) citizen

Application sent by post: 10/08/2017
Application received: 11/08/17
Email confirmation: waiting :(
PR received: waiting :(

Does anyone know if I'll receive my PR latest by March 2018 (I guess), will I be still eligible for BC in March 2019? Otherwise, it is just a waste of money, unfortunately.

The official statement on the gov website stands: "If you already have a permanent residence document it won’t be valid AFTER the UK leaves the EU". So as far as I understand, if I'll receive it by March 2018, I will have the last opportunity to apply for BC in March 2019? Am I right?

The date you automatically ATTAIN your PR status is different to the date of the BRP Card. It is the date of attainment that counts for the 12 months clock before you can apply for citizenship.

CR001, thank you for your reply.

May I have an additional question just to assure myself? Is the date of attainment, the last day of the 5 year period?
With relation to the British Citizenship the gov website says that: "you must usually have:

had permanent residence status for the last 12 months if you’re a citizen of an EEA country - you need to provide a permanent residence document".

This makes me a bit confused.

Thanks

With relation to the British Citizenship the gov website says that: "you must usually have:

The PR card is merely evidence of a status that you have already attained. You should get a letter form HO stating the date that you attained PR status, which will be sometime before the date on the PR card.

This makes me a bit confused.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I am non-EEA applying for PR As a Spouse of a qualified worker (Italian) my timeline is is:

Application submitted - 08/06/2017
Application received - 9/06/2017
Email confirmation with case ID received - 17/07/2017
Biometric letter received - 19/07/2017 (dated 17/07/17)
Biometric submitted - 22/07/2017
COA received - ???

I'm getting a little bit worried because I haven't received my COA. Today it's the10th working day since I did my biometrics and nothing has arrived to my mail. Does anyone have the email contact to he home office to ask about this situation?

I've seen that people get their COA like 3 or 4 days after they do theyir biometrics

Thank you!
Update:

COA with Work. 24/08/17 (dated 21/08/17)

Finally.

Now I was worndering if anyone has the same problem. I call to registrer for a National Insurance number since now I'm allowed to work I call the number and the operator told me that if I haven't got my documents from home office I can't apply for a NI. So.. what should I do? I mean I have the cCOA that allows me to work. Right?
Hello JMMM,

I am at the same situation like you. non-EEA applying for PR As a Spouse of a qualified worker (Italian) :)
Yes you can apply for the National insurance number with the COA. You can call them and make an appointment for your NIN. They also accept fotocopy of your passport (since the passport original is still in the home office) if you provide your COA doc together. It takes up to 6 weeks they say however in 3 week mostly you get the number. I applied two weeks ago. However if you get the job you can also start to work without NIN but you need to have it as soon as possible for your employee pays the tax to government. Good luck.
Thank you for your comments.. yes, I went to the appointment this Tuesday. I post this because when I first called the lady told me it was imposible to apply for a Nino because I didn't have the PR. Then I called again , someone else pick up and gave me the appoiment. Let's now wait.

Every meember of this forum get notification when someone posts an update. We cant be reading about national insurance appts in a PR timeline forum. Its important we keep to the forum policy.

Hi everyone I'm a family member (Trinidadian )of an EEA national (Slovakian national)
We applied online and used the passport return service .We applied as a family, two adults and a child.

Online Application Sent: 09/07/2017
submitted via passport return service : 12/07/2017
Application Received:13/07/2017
Payment taken: 10/07/2017
Passports requested back: N/A
Passports received: N/A
PR Date:
PR Received:

Confirmation email by HO for my husband and daughter only 01/08/2017
Phoned Euro contact on 16/08/2017 to request my confirmation email ut was told i have to wait for the Biometrics letter that could take up to 8 weeks . Called again on the 21/08/2017 ,and send an emailed them on 22/08/2017 was told i should get it soon .

Confirmation of application email for me : 22/08/2017 sent to my husband's email
Biometrics letter received on 25/08/2017 dated 19/08/2017 done it on the 26/08/2017.

During this time my work have been asking me about my status and said i would be out of a job if i do not have a letter to prove i can work while my application is being decided.

I phoned them on the 04/09/2017 and again on the 06/09/2017 as my employer check on the website they provided said i was not able to work,I mentioned to them that this was incorrect as i get the same rights as my EEA family member while my application is being decided,i was put on hold and given an email address to email someone,I did and had an automated response that said someone will get back to me within the next 21days .

Today home office emailed my employer saying i can work while my application is being decided and I have no restrictions .I know this is God as i have been praying the whole time ,my employer gave me a copy of the email they got from the home office ,i have yet to receive a letter from them directly.
My last EEA residence took 3weeks as i applied outside the uk , now i wait while my application is being decided , lucky for me i have my passport and being a Trinidadian i can still travel to European countries without a visa .

Hope this help someone ,now the waiting begin .Strangely enough I'm not worried .

Hello

I have applied for a PR residence at the end of June as a EU citizen, but still waiting for the decision. My wife will need to apply this month for he PR as a non-EU citizen. Does she need to send all my documents again with her application or can she send a letter giving the details of my application instead so they can check for her application as well??? Very confusing, anyone had this issue before? We do not know what to do.

Thanks everyone

You need to send all relevant documents again. There is no such thing are referring to the application of husband. If it was a joint application it may be different but single applications need all the documents AGAIN.

I am an eea national applying for Residence. I sent my application and documents in January 2017. I received an email to confirming receipt of application and another to confirm successful payment. I have moved houses twice and let ho know. I have mail redirection. It's now September and I haven't received anything else. It's been over 6 months. I can't see my status online as it doesn't recognise my id number. I will try calling ho on Monday but I'm unsure whether they will give me any info. I wonder if you can tell me what is the best number to call and what else should I do? Thank you guys.

I assume your sponsor's application has not been decided. You have sent another application. The new application cannot have original documents as they are submitted with husband's application. They do not refer to another application as they have been submitted separately.
