Hi,

Congratulations and Good luck for visa
Hoping to hear great news from you.

I'm about to apply same application for ROR. Would you be kind to please list out papers (yours/eu spouse) you sent out with visa application. As I'm confused what to send, brief info, divorced after 3.2 years months, lived same together. Also both are living n working to date.
What documents should I be sending in support of my ror visa application.
Thank you

Hi Rory, i personally applied in 2014 and the documents provided were, docs showing cohabitation for you and your EEA within those 3.2 years , they asked for 1 year proof but if you can provide more it will be better. Proof that your EEA was exercising treaty right during those 3.2 years, again they ask for 1 year but more is always better. Proof that EEA was exercising treaty right from date divorce was initiated until the date of decree absolue. original of Decree Absolute, some photographs showing the couple, EEA ID (note that i did not provide original only copy of this but i have heard that home office is creating problem to people who do not provide original Id since February 2017). Proof that you non EEA is exercising treaty right from date of decree absolute till date of application. Your up to date passport, your proof of address, bank statement showing were your wages is paid...

hope this help - good luck
GOD BLESS!!!

Hi all,

First of all, I would like to say to you to not to worry everything will be ok, it just takes time for HO to decide your case.

I didn't have any help from my ex wife to do all this process, I was trying to be polite and ask for her ID but she was not helpful at all (as Ive applied for a EEA permit card to join my wife when we got married and also Ive applied for a residence card once I was here in England, I supposed HO had my ex wife info on the system so I just provided a copy of her passport). I have been emailing her regarding her ID and also her payslips at the time of the divorce but as Ive mentioned before, she was not really helpful at all, so I printed out all those emails to show HO that I was trying my best but she did not want to help me (which it helped a lot as they saw that she was the one that didn't want to cooperate and I was trying my best to get all those documents). At the end, I managed to get my ex wife payslips from her workplace when we got divorced and I included them in my application. If it helps, I will tell you what Ive sent to HO as supporting documents (bear in mind that I know how they work as I applied for a RC before, so I had some experience of what they ask you or how they could reject your application in case you don't supply 'a specific document'). I will list them:

-My current passport
-Old passport with my RC vignette (which my RC hastn expired yet)
-Old passport with my EEA family permit (to show that I applied for it under EEA law and they gave it to me to be able to enter to the UK to join my wife)
-Decree absolute original form (divorced certificate)
-Electricity bills and some other bills when we were living together -to show that we were living together for more than 1 year in the UK as the law states- (I was living with her at the same house for more than 2 years and the bills were on both our names)
-Payslip from her workplace showing that she was working at the time that the court decreed our divorce (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FACT)
-My payslips from my current job (3 payslips from 3 months ago at the time of application)
-Letter from my manager stating that I am working for that business and if HO has any question, shouldn't not hesitate to contact my employer to verify it.
-Emails from me to my ex wife trying to get her ID and as much proof of her employment at the time of the divorce (like letter from her employer, payslips, etc.) to support my application (note that she was not helpful at all so I did proof to the HO that I wasn't my fault)
-3 month payslips from my ex wife workplace at the time of the divorce to show she was exercising treaty rights.
-Many of her job contracts from all the places she has been working for when we were together, before the the decree absolute to show that she has been a qualified person all the time.
-Letter made from my lawyer stating that my ex wife wasn't been very helpful at all to provide some important documents to support my application and under EU law Ive acquired my ROR automatically after all these years.

I hope this post helps and if you have any question, don't hesitate to contact me as Im very happy to help you because I know the feeling of being in this awful situation.

God bless you all and good luck!
