Hi ak_g , i am also travelling from bangalore by the monday morning flight (17th) - which day is ur flight ?

i agree the website is ambiguous - i plan to take print of the website Baggage allowance and i am carrying totally 32kg including hand baggage

I called BA some weeks back, they said they will allow 32kgs of check-in baggage.

if it is more then you have to pay a flat rate of GBP 75 till another 32kgs. However if you know it is more then you can access their website 1 day before and avail to a discounted rate of GBP 60 by paying thru the website.

i think BA is good if you have lot of (say 60kgs) baggage. coz 60 * 80 = INR 4800 is a reasonable rate to transport 32kgs by air.

I called up BA helpline. As per my conversation following is is the baggage limit:

32 KG checked in
1 hand bag with 8KG weight
1 Laptop bag or similar bag

Anyone has experience with Emirates? How much baggage limit they allow?

In their site they mention that "2 pieces each not exceeding 37kgs". this looks too much for me

. So does that mean they allow 72kgs totally ?

In emirates they allow only -Checkin 20kg and 8kg Cabin ..

Again all it is depends ticket prices & travel type....
