Address change

Post by Kiki2 » Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:17 pm

Hi everyone... urgent help needed. I applied for visa in feb and complex letter came in march. I changed my business address but didn't inform home office. Home office went to my previous address checked over there. Now I have sent a letter to home office through my solicitor new address. Is this will be a problem?

Then I don't think there is anything to worry about. In worst scenario you can argue that you updated on companies house because there wasn't any option to inform home office about business address.

They didn't inform me. I just gave my sisters shop address. I was about to take that property to rent when I'm applying. Later the shop work hasn't finished. So I was working home. Now I got serviced office. I have 4 employèes. I'm doing business consultancy

Have you applied alone or with team member?
Where do you base?
1 person I know has been refused because he provided a mobile shop address.
If you updated on companies house before their visit then there is good ground to argue your case.
Have you checked your junk email?
They normally send email or call before visit.

Thanks for your reply, this is very strange they're not informing before the visit :( so did they left any letter or anything at your sister's shop to inform you about the visit?

It all depends on home office. Nothing can be said at the moment.

Yes they checked the shop and there wasn't any office. They called the applicant and asked about the office and he confirmed that's his office. He got refusal after 2 weeks.

Hi Momi, do you know how many employees does the mobile shop guy had. As office is not necessary if you have 2 employees I believe and in IT business all the big companies are adapting flexible work space or Work from Home. Hope that they understand the flexible work space concept in IT business :?

Your addresses must be updated at all times with companies house and HMRC. HO does NOT need to be informed :?
Company directors need keep the following 3 addresses updated and recent:

1- Registered address - Your main address of your company in the UK
2- Service address - It serves as their official correspondence address. Their personal statutory mail from government agencies, such as HMRC and Companies House, is delivered there. It can be located anywhere in the world.
3- Residential address- This is for the residential address of the directors and will not be accessible in public company records

why dont u call them and ask .. and explain them that u changed the address on companies house... and comon u can always say that u was not being told... ideally they should tell u before coming... letter phone call. they jus cant pop in .. until or unless their is strong reason.. u never know with UKVI .. but i think u have strong reason ..
take it easy . i understand ur situation.. i who even dint send the visa is freaking out already by reading all these posts,..so i can imagine what ur going through .. good luckk,. u will be fine.

Dont worry and try to relax. If they visited you then probably they wanted to interview you.
How did you know if they visited as there was no one there?

Probably they will contact you again for an interview so you should be mentally prepared.

I am in the same boat. I know it is very stressful so i can relate.

Im my case they called me on my mobile phone and visited me next day.

All the best!
