first time passport application

Hi All,

I have just got my approval for naturalisation. I may have to travel after the ceremony and want to apply for passport immediately so I don't have to apply for visa to visit family in Sweden.

One of the requirement for first time passport applicants is to provide original passport from previous country (if available). Can I provide a certified copy from Garda of the passport instead of original ? any experiences ?

I think you should ring passport office to confirm that.

also can you please tell when did you apply for citzenship and under what visa?
did you receive your approval today?

Second Letter: Jul 2017
Approval: 13 Sep

I think that you can apply online for a passport.
