Urgent advice needed...applying for EC

I got HSMP approval during Dec 2007. This week Im planning to apply for EC. During my initial approval I was single, but now I got married. Can I incl my spouses info right now, or should I wait till I get EC and then add her?

Also, is it better for me to wait till May and apply for EC, because I will get 3 year stamping under the new scheme?

Its fine if you add your spouse name in the EC.

Should I apply right now or wait till April 1st and then apply?
I do not have GBP 800 in my account for the last 3 months, is that a requirement if I apply after April 1st?

I would like to apply after April 1st in case I get 3 yrs instead of 2 years as per the current scheme. Please advise
