Re: To all flr fp applicant housing benefit

Post by Sam1616 » Sat Aug 05, 2017 12:47 am

Hi Blutak,

We are in the same situation, any news on your case?
We have not submitted extension yet though.

Our housing benefit has been suspended for the time being, does anyone how far back the HO check or is it just if you're claiming at the time of application?

Thanks
Sam

Hi Blutak,

What is the outcome of your case. My council paying me couple rate and despite of my various request they refused to apply single rate.

Did you mention in the form that you are claiming housing benefit.

I wonder how can they find out that someone is taking housing benefit as it is paid by Local Authority not by HMRC. It is also not linked with the NI number i believe.

Yes you do have to mention that you are claiming housing benefits
You can't hide it would be then counted as deception
And yes they do checks on public funds nowadays

Coming to my application flr fp extension
Now 9 month passed
Several letters from mp requesting to send my passport back to give the English test have failed they did send my wife and kid passport back(my circumstance have changed since my application my sponsor is eligible for financial requirements)

To all those who are waiting for flr fp application
The wait is long
....
Keep faith

I think if you can meet the financial requirement with your earnings then you don't have to fill that part. You ultimately jump to the next section when you demonstrate that you meet the minimum threshold with your salary.
In your case i believe you wanted them to consider your benefit amount as your earnings to meet the financial requirement. Otherwise the housing benefit criteria is too complicated and HO usually don't check with the local council. It is because you mentioned in the form that you are taking housing benefit. So they have sent your housing benefit for further investigation to council. Which is delaying the outcome of your visa. It it was HMRC they would have easily checked from their system. I think the Local council's data is not connected with the HMRC or Home office. They are working independently.

Hi everybody...
6 month passed no news on my FLR (fp) extension application yet .....
Now there had been a change of circumstance my wife got a another job and with 6 month payslip we qualify the financial requirement ....

I still get housing benefit but it is very less ... And I haven't stop it ye as I dint find any benefit of stopping it I cud have stopped it if I was making a 5 year route application and neither did I informed home office about my change of circumstances as I thought of it as no use

Now I have following queries plzzzz help

1 can I vary my flr fp 10 yr to 5 (considering I can't give the English test as my passport is inside I can immodestly stop housing benefit if this works ANY SUGGESTIONS ???!!

2 can vary of application be done on premium
service

3 if I am not able to qualify or do 5 yr do you still suggest me sending the new change of circumstances will they be any help to my existing application

6 month wait for flr fp extension is a joke a blunder of home office to decide on application which they have already granted leave earlier
You won't qualify for FLR(M) 5 year route if you haven't passed the A2 English test.

All that I have read above is very interesting.

I'm married and my husband and I both have leave to remain through our kids from previous relationship. Exceptionally I happened to have public funds. I use to claim housing benefit and my award was on a couple rate. I'm the solely claimant with my name only on the benefit letter but my husband income was taken into consideration when they were doing their calculation.
When I asked the council they said my husband does not claimed the hb I do. But they have to add his income bcz he lives here.
But for ctc his name appear on the award letter.
When we applied for his extention of leave to remain. The only benefit we click on his form was ctc bcz his name is on it and we explained that I was the main claimant and I had to add him regardless of him having no recourse to public funds.
He didn't tick the box for cb and hb bcz he doesn't claimed those but I do.
We are waiting for the outcome of his application still so we will see what happened.
I am also renewing my flrfp so waiting aswell. I do not claimed hb since last month bcz i do not qualify they said our income to high. But i still have ctc for the 2 kids.
If they will grant me leave to remain with rpf that will be fine. If they don't I just have to call the child tax people to stop all claim. I wouldn't have to pay anything back bcz before I was eligible.

Don't worry I think that they have a huge backlog of FLR fp application and they wud not
Bother looking at these details if it's an extension but keep pushing through yur mp
And do write to them letters as well
