today 8months completed i m stilling waiting for decision. mine was also standard. dont know wts the issue with my case, may be i applied just after few days of my marriage otherwise my case was straight forward

I didn't get any email but in march I got letter from HO not straight forward ur case !! After that they said ur visa on hold !!

Do you think that they are satisfied and made the decision already.....I mean it has been such a long time since the call, maybe there's just a delay in emailing the decision, although we did email them only to say they are considering our application!? Maybe that's just generic and delay tactics. Maybe all this time decision has been made....who knows
How am i suppose to call them back....I will only put on hold, only be told that its still being considering, charged a collosal amount....

I read this thread every day and I'm getting a feeling they've completely abandoned on hold applications. I had hopes to be in England by November, but I'm starting to lose hope, they haven't made any decisions on people from November, and I can only imagine how much time it will take them to get to mine, applied in April. The wait is excruciating, knowing that I might get a refusal. Sigh.

Well honestly I have tried all the options till now got mp involved, escalations, calls, emails.. however this great organisation called UKVI is run by either some teens or some people who has no brain whatsoever. I cannot understand how on this earth can it take so long to give decisions. And there is no child involved in my case so thing I don't understand is why was I on hold in first place.

After 17 weeks of no real news from the other side, the status on the Visa4UK website turned from 'Complete' to 'In Active' today. Should I be happy that there's some kind of change or is it just one of those things that don't really mean anything? Grasping at straws here!

Im in the same boat. Applied on 6th jan (Ahmedabad), on 31st march got the not straight forward email. HO told MP the same thing that the file is complex,etc. its so annoying, one year wedding anniversary is fast approaching, i've already been to visit my wife once, the second trip is due now but hopefully wont have to.

So 24 weeks = 5.5 months = 168 days = 120 working days (excluding public holidays). TBH i never received any emails or responses from them and its been 258 days (184 working days). the only email i received was the automated message from them on the 90th day regarding the application being not straight forward.
